Traditional splicing (an age old nautical term) and whipping techniques have been used in the production of all Longevity leads, providing an immaculate finish whilst reinforcing the lead where it’s needed. Our whipping knots are made with heavy duty waxed whipping twine – designed to withstand extreme loads of pull, without fraying. Sailors have used splicing and whipping for hundreds of years to strengthen and prevent fraying of their ropes, making it the perfect accompaniment to our leads.
Durable stainless-steel hardware adds the final touch to each lead, creating a perfect look that will withstand all types of rough play.
As your new lead ages, the cotton will continue to soften so it only gets better with age. Our small/medium leads have a breaking strength of up to 320kg while the Large is up to 420kg, so you can rest easy knowing you're walking your pup securely.
All leads are 2M in length.
